Jewels To Live By

Fact: a piece of statement jewelry can make the simplest of outfits into something special. It's that pop of color or touch of texture - like putting an exclamation point at the end of a sentence - catching the eye's attention! These are some statement pieces I'm loving right now:
1. Opaque Bib Necklace $10.80 (here) 2. Rhinestone Snake Chain Necklace $9.80 (here) 3. Aqua Color-block Boho Drops $34 (here) 4. Faux Stone Flower Necklace $14.80 (here) 5. Mint Tab Strand $28 (here) 6. Rhinestone Dangle Earrings $5.80 (here) 7. Butter Bauble Bib $36 (here)

Hands down Forever 21 is my favorite place to get jewelry! The variety of styles and prices cannot be beat. However, Bauble Bar has amazing jewelry that isn't outrageously priced and should not be overlooked (especially when you can get $10 off your first order!). Jewel On!

Review: Wet N Wild

There are hundreds of lip sticks out there to choose from. Do you buy drugstore or department store? Nude, Pink, or Red? Is it too nude? Is it too Pink? From NYX to Tom Ford the options can be overwhelming. So, when YouTube Beauty Guru RachhLoves recommended Wet N Wild's Mega Last Lip Color Collection I had to try it!

They were only $1.99/each at my Walmart and I picked up 5 different shades. They are matte, which I love and gives them a high-end feel. I'm not a fan of frosted lips! The Lip Sticks have great color pay off and are long wearing. The colors of the collection reminded me of YSL's Rouge Volupte. However, the downside to Wet N Wild's Mega Last Lip Collection is that they did not have the same silky moisturizing texture as YSL's and not nearly as many colors to chose from. But, for $1.99 I'm very pleased with my 5 new Lip Sticks!

You can find them online here. Which Lip Sticks do you love?

Nailed it

The one thing I love more than glitter nail polish is the "dipped" glitter nail polish look!

Here's how I created my own dipped nails:
1. Paint a base nail color, a couple coats depending on your polish. I used this dark grey shade by nails inc. in foubert's place.
2. Using the glitter polish paint a French tip on each nail. I used an Orly mini in Hair Band.
3. Apply a second coat of glitter going over the "Frenched" tip dragging the glitter down but not all the way to the nail bed creating a dipped affect.
4. Finish the nails off with a clear top coat! I used NYC's extra shiny top coat.
